on the morning of november 5, the construction mobilization meeting of the yan'an-yulin high-speed railway was held in yulin.
the yan'an-yulin high-speed railway will start from yan'an station in the south, pass through baota district and yanchuan county of yan'an city, qingjian county, suide county, mizhi county, hengshan district and yuyang district of yulin city, and reach yulin south station in the north. the main line of the railway is about 239 kilometers, with a design speed of 350 km an hour. there will be 6 new stations constructed on the whole line: yan'an new area station, yanchuan station, qingjian north station, suide west station, mizhi north station and yulin south station.

the total investment of this project is 47.22 billion yuan, and the construction will take 5 years. the engineering geological conditions in the area through which the yan'an-yulin high-speed railway will pass are complicated, with the design length of 225.22 kilometers of bridges and tunnels. a total of 50 tunnels and 68 bridges will be newly built.
the yan'an-yulin high-speed railway will be connected with xi'an-yan'an, xi'an-ankang and ankang-chongqing railways, which are currently under construction. they together will form the main high-speed railway channel traveling north-south in shaanxi. the travel time between the major cities along the route will be largely shortened, which is of great significance for connecting the land-sea corridor, promoting high-quality development and modernization in china.
during the 14th five-year (2021-2025) plan period, shaanxi province will further accelerate the construction of the shaanxi sector of the national high-speed railway network. with the launching of the construction of the yan'an yulin high-speed railway, the total scale of shaanxi high-speed railway construction will exceed 1,000 kilometers, with a total investment of more than 200 billion yuan projected.
